The Theory of Dreams Tour
We are excited to announce that progressive rock/metal bands Rendezvous Point and TEMIC will embark on a co-headline tour across Europe, bringing together two innovative and exciting acts in the genre.
Formed in 2010 in the heart of Kristiansand, Norway, Rendezvous Point was born out of a shared passion for progressive metal by five students from the University of Agder. The band quickly became known for their ability to blend punchy rhythms with soaring melodies and atmospheric undertones. Their debut album Solar Storm (2015) set the tone, and they followed up with Universal Chaos (2019), delving even deeper into themes of existential reflection.
A few months ago, Rendezvous Point released their third album, Dream Chaser on Long Branch Records. An album that pushes their artistic boundaries even further.
The band consists of the exceptional drummer Baard Kolstad, known of course from Leprous,
Geirmund Hansen - Vocals, Petter Hallaråker - Guitars, Nicolay Svennæs - Keyboards and
Gunn-Hilde Erstad Haugen - Bass.
Joining them on this tour is TEMIC, a new ambitious new act in the progressive rock/metal scene. TEMIC was founded by keyboardist Diego Tejeida (ex-Haken, Devin Townsend) and guitarist Eric Gillette (The Neal Morse Band), whose musical chemistry dates back to their time with Mike Portnoy’s Shattered Fortress. After years of individual projects, the pandemic gave them the opportunity to finally collaborate. They quickly joined forces with their friend and drummer Simen Sandnes (SHINING). Sandnes recommended vocal powerhouse Fredrik Bergersen Klemp (Maraton) on vocals and thus TEMIC was born.
Their debut album, Terror Management Theory, was released at the end of 2023 by the record label Season of Mist. Latest addition to the band is bassist Miguel Pereira.
This co-headline tour promises to be a remarkable journey through the evolving soundscapes of progressive rock/metal. TEMIC will start the evening and Rendezvous Point will be the closing act.

The musicians in Rendezvous Point met when they studied rhythmical music at the University of Agder. In 2012 the band was titled the most promising band in southern Norway and held a concert with the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra.
They have spend their early years touring Europe with bands like Haken, Leprous, Long Distance Calling and Circus Maximus.
Rendezvous Point delivers a fierce and hard hitting energy bomb in the realm of progressive metal. With highly educated and skilled musicians, they are able to push the boundaries within the genre, creating a larger than life sounding experience for the listener as well as for themselves. With heavy drums, rumbling bass, raw guitars, large synthesizer sounds and powerful vocals, they explore new areas of the genre, daring to expand upon that which is already there. The band consists of Geirmund Hansen on vocals, Baard Kolstad on drums (Leprous), Petter Hallaråker on guitar, Nicolay Tangen Svennæs on keyboards (Ihsahn, Bernhoft, Emilie Nicolas) and Gunn-Hilde Erstad on bass.
The epic arrangements of Rendezvous Point are truly one of a kind, and should really be experienced live.
